FOUNDER OF FRANK HR
After a hugely rewarding spell working as an HR professional for two well-respected organisations – The Lighthouse, Scotland’s Centre for Design and Architecture; and Impact Arts I decided to take the plunge and start my own HR consultancy business, Frank HR (branding by the very talented Graven, a long-standing client of mine).
What drove me was the freedom to work with different people, across diverse businesses and sectors – all with the aim of promoting good HR practice in a simple and accessible way.
My ethos is one of an HR generalist: I’ve experience of most HR related topics and issues within SMEs and have a wide range of skills and experience to draw on. Sometimes it does feel like everything is HR. It’s also a fast-changing and dynamic space: who heard of furlough before 2020?
My job satisfaction comes from helping people and businesses navigate through the evolving world of HR in order to stay safe and ultimately to prosper.
I’m delighted to work with organisations such as Graven – a studio who design beautiful spaces, places and things; Collective Architecture – 100% employee owned, award-winning architectural practice, working across studios in Glasgow, Edinburgh and more recently Dundee; and Spreng Thomson – an intelligent, creative communications and PR business working with ambitious and successful clients across the private, public and third sector.
